		<description>Yeah man... I hope they do screen the borrowers properly because each time I see an &#039;educated&#039; person asking for a loan on kiva, I can&#039;t help but feel like he&#039;s being lazy and not making an effort to source from other avenues...</description>

		<description>Dude, I had the same thoughts as you when I first heard of it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;My first reaction was, no matter how poor one is in US, you would not be as poor as someone in a 3rd world country.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Someone in US would probably not ask for US$200 loan, since it will achieve nothing, as compared to US$200 to someone in Ukraine.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But if you watched Pursuit of Happyness by Will Smith, I guess when people think of the US, it&#039;s always the vision of a rich country etc.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;And in the end, Kiva allows you to choose who you want to loan to. So, the choice is up to the lenders.</description>
