@mediumshawn: well, the storm 2 is waaaay better than the storm 1...but i'm still the sort who needs to feel the keyboard ;p

@th: Honestly, i think in terms of speed, reliability and feel, I still prefer the Bold 9700. The DEXT still has some responsiveness issues i feel(some of my friend's phones are way more responsive). In anycase, the thing about the Bold(or BlackBerry) is that apps are still not as prevalent as the Android. If you're looking for games and such, android would be the better choice for now.

Hi there! Really envy you having both phones by the way.

My contract is up and im really considering either of these two phones right now and im hoping you could help me out here.

I wont be working anytime soon yet so business/email functions dont matter much. What really matters to me is speed, reliability and the feel of the phone.

The only reason im considering the bb bold 9700 is for that reason as well. And im considering the DEXT cas i heard that its almost as fast and the touch screen is responsive. what do you think?

Hey. Thanks for the reply. Hahas. Its never too late eh? :p

Yup. I'm still torn between getting the 9700 or the Storm 2. Well, I must say I'm impressed with the battery life of the 9700. I don't have to worry about the battery life if I want to stay connected throughout the day.

Well, do u have anything to say about the Storm 2? :p

Hey man, sorry it took me a while to get back to you. Firstly, you have to know that i'm a workaholic and naturally i'm pro-BlackBerry ;p

That said, having used the Bold 9000, the 9700 is amazing. Firstly, there's twice as much memory for application installation so there's no need to worry about not having space for apps(at least not as much as the 9000).

Then there's the trackpad. While many will still like having the trackball, I've gone through the problem of having a dirty trackball that literally causes the phone to become useless until you clean it out. The trackpad in the 9700 is wonderful because it's just as sensitive and you really dont need to worry about it getting dirty. If your point of reference in the Nokia, then this one beats that flat.

Battery life. w00t! My 9000 used to last me around 8 hours on normal usage(3G on all day, email, phone calls, sms, gMaps and gtalk running). Now it can go beyond 12-14 hours on light days. and usually around 10-12hrs on normal days.

Camera is also a huge improvement. While it's not as great as the other handsets, this is a marked improvement from the 9000. 3MP with autofocus. Macro mode available as well.

It still retains the solid BlackBerry feel compared to previous versions. One possible downside though is that it's smaller(which is good actually) but it inevitably leads to a slightly smaller keyboard. I'm personally ok with it but some people feel it's a bit too small for their liking - guys especially.

You thinking of getting one?
