Yesterday, Starbucks announced their expansion of the Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew to Singapore. This is the first in a series of entries for the new product into Asia Pacific. By the end of September, Starbucks VIA Ready Brew will also be available in Starbucks Stores in South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia.
For more than 20 years, Starbucks had been looking for a way to deliver high-quality coffee in a convenient way for customers to enjoy a great cup of coffee anywhere and at any time and they’ve finally done it.
Portioned into single-serve packets, Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew is sold in packs of three or twelve and is currently available in two flavours – bold, nutty Colombia and smooth, rich Italian Roast. Decaffeinated Italian Roast is also available. The 3-pack will go for SGD$3.90 and the 12-pack will be selling for SGD$13.90.
MJ ( He’s the guy that took the awesome photos above ) and myself got the chance to test out the Starbucks VIA Ready Brew and while nothing can beat a freshly brewed cup of coffee, it does come very very close. We’re also told that more flavours will be introduced soon with some seasonal ones as well.
For those who are have the Starbucks Card, I’m told that the VIA packs will also be included in the rewards program.
Along with the introduction of Starbucks VIA®, new mugs meant for VIA® were also introduced!
