The Consumer Electronics Show 2016 kicks off in Las Vegas, and here are five things that got the team at ridz.sg talking here in Singapore.
Razer Blade Stealth
We think the Stealth looks like a great ultra-book at great price point. Coupled with the Razer Core, we think it’ll be an awesome laptop. Find out more here.
Coupled with the Blade Stealth, this product may totally render a desktop obsolete. The only question is now: HOW MUCH? Find out more here.
A simple dongle that connects your Android phone to your computer, and allows you to operate the phone from your computer. For $40, it saves a lot of pain and hassle. So how much will it cost in Singapore?
Everyone knows how much of photography buffs we are here at Ridz.sg, with everyone a Nikon user! This beast comes with tons of drool-worthy specs – a totally new AF system (finally!), crazy ISO levels, a new 20.8 MP CMOS sensor, just to name a few. Read out more at PetaPixel. Unfortunately, I don’t think any of us at Ridz will be getting this beast. Too much for us amateurs, except maybe for MJ.
The baby brother D500 is the uber long overdue replacement to the D300s (which many users gave up waiting and lost all hope), and shares many of the same awesome-sauce stuff as its big brother in terms of technology. With this now announced, it should not be long before the D850/D900 would be announced with all the new tech stuffed inside (remember the D3+D300+D700 siblings?)
Note: a baby brother of a beast is still a beast nonetheless!
BONUS: Nikon KeyMission360
Okay, I don’t think anyone here will be getting this but I thought this was a cool surprise from Nikon. The action-cam scene has been dominated by GoPro (quite unhealthily in my opinion) and Sony’s ActionCam is still playing catch up. While the KeyMission360 is different, I think have a proper camera maker in the fray will liven things up (and push the prices down).
