Hi Julien,
Well, from what I’ve been working on, it does satisfy most of that and the good thing is that Basecamp works with quite a number of 3rd party apps as well that help to handle things like invoicing and design proofs.

That said, I’ve been using more for software development and have only worked on it from a non-softdev angle for a few months so it’s too early to tell. My gut feel is that if you’re doing collaborative document work on google but you’re looking for something to handle everything else(in a simplistic way), Basecamp should work fine.

Perhaps, you should go try out one of their free/30-day free plans and see if it works out for you?

I’m looking for a tool for:
- time managing
- milestones
- sharing several parts/docs but not all
- docs hosting

I don’t know if basecamphq is the one for me.
my project are 80% non-software-developement, I don’t know if it is more soft-dev oriented than the other…

Interesting that you say that because I was wondering how prevalent this profit-only mindset is in Singapore because we’re a nation that seems to thrive on pragmatism and ‘stability’ which leads to a lot less risk-taking.

Result? Lots of good businesses but very few great ones. Just like how the people are…lots of good people here, few great ones. Lots of contentment, little happiness.

Anyway, I do think the next BlinkBl-nk will be interesting because I spoke to one of next month’s speaker and he spent some time living with some south american tribe… I’m sure he will have a perspective that we don’t have…

If an entrepreneur is driven solely by profits, then I think the chances of him/her making big is quite hard.
